About
:

QITC is an acronym for Quantum and Information Technology Convention—an innovation of two ground-breaking activities of the two well-recognized organizations of Xavier University united to accomplish a common goal.

The Quantum

Quantum is a tradition of Xavier Computer Enthusiasts' League (XCEL) of Xavier University since 1994. It is a pure competition participated by different schools in Mindanao. Its main objectives are to test the level of knowledge and literacy of high school students on Computer and Information Technology, and to develop a science and technology culture among the youth.

Quantum is composed of two segments. First are the MS Paint and the Photoshop Competition which will be participated by one grade school and one high school student as representatives of each school. Second is the Quiz Show which is exclusive for high school students consisting of two bona fide students from each school.

The IT Convention

The City-Wide IT Convention of the Ateneo Information Management Society (AIMS) started in the year 2002 and will commemorate its 6th year of gathering the IT students of Cagayan de Oro City not just to test their competence but to guide them with additional knowledge and develop their skills in Information Technology.

This is usually a two-day and one-night activity which comprises of sessions and discussions on IT-related topics with distinguished resource speakers. Fellowship or social night is usually held in the evening with delightful performances from the delegates. Giving out of certificates to the delegates wraps up the convention.

The QITC

With this year's theme: "Enriching Mindanao IT Enthusiasts for Global Competence", QITC is about learning how to dramatically improve the productivity and quality of IT Management. It's about leveraging lessons from experts on best practices.
The convention focuses on practical day-to-day good practices for IT development throughout organizations. This year's convention emphasizes on building a new foundation for all IT enthusiasts where they can gather together to create innovations through Information Technology.
