Popcorn? Yup, you heard it right, its not a  food to eat. It's a project created by Mozilla. If you like to create a web film try to check this project. Popcorn allows web filmmakers to amp up interactivity around their movies, harnessing the web to expand their creations in new ways. Popcorn uses Javascript to link real-time social media, news feeds, data visualizations, and other context directly to online video, pulling the web into the action in real time. The result is a new form of  cinema that works more like the web itself: interactive, social,  and rich with real-time context and possibilities that continue to evolve long after filming wraps.visit their site at http://mozillapopcorn.org

Mozilla announce the re-launch of the Firefox Affiliates program (https://affiliates.mozilla.org), a centralized hub for getting and sharing Firefox and Mozilla download buttons.

Unlike traditional affiliate programs, Firefox Affiliates doesn't dole out cash for clicks or downloads. Instead top affiliates will get prizes, praise and good vibes. Top affiliates will be featured on the leaderboards (which update daily, so easy on that refresh button) and qualify for all kinds of great Firefox prizes.  So I just recently sign-up for the affiliates program and put buttons on my blog.

It's been a week figuring how to set-up my localhost server with LAMP (I'm using Fedora 15 KDE)  and encounter an issue on phpMyAdmin when browsing using http://localhost/phpMyadmin it is asking for username and password, even though i didn't set-up password on mysql. Finally it's just a short tweak on config file to access the mysql using phpMyadmin.

1. You need to be root and access the phpMyAdmin config (config.inc.php)

2. Look for  AllowNoPassword

3. the current settings for that is FALSE, you need to set it to TRUE.

now, test to browse the phpMyadmin onto your browser just type the username: root and leave your password to blank. Hope this will help, for those you encounter the same issue same as mine.. :)

Social reformist and dynamic leader

Bayan Muna party-list congressman Teddy Casiño is a genuine social reformist and one of the most dynamic young leaders in the country today. He was first swept into the politics of change when, as a high school student in La Salle Green Hills, he volunteered for the National Movement for Free Elections (NAMFREL) and took part in the 1986 EDSA People Power Revolution. The experience changed him so that since then, his life has been characterized by a conscious choice for the road less travelled.

Figuring how to create a portable installer of Windows using your flash drive? I just want to share this tool that i am using to reinstall windows on my netbook since it has no external CD ROM drive.

WinToFlash

WinToFlash is an application which allows you to transfer Windows XP/2003/Vista/2008/7 install from a CD/DVD to a [bootable] USB/flash drive. Although officially the developer does not state WinToFlash supports .ISOs, you can simply mount your .ISO and trick WinToFlash into thinking it is a legit CD/DVD and create your bootable USB that way.

To create a bootable USB Windows install, simply follow the "Windows setup transfer Wizard"..

After you have created your bootable USB with a Windows install on it, with either A Bootable USB or WinToFlash, simply plug your USB into your computer and restart your computer. You should be able to boot from from the USB and install Windows now. If you are unable to boot from it, you will have to go into your computer BIOS to change the boot order/settings to allow boot from USB.

You may download WinToFlash using this links:
