The 1st New Generations Convention is a success and participated by Mozilla, which was organized and hosted by Rotaract Club of Zamboanga City West (Community-based organization) , Rotaract Club of STI Zamboanga (School-based) with the help of Mozilla Zamboanga last September 15, 2011 at STI College Zamboanga with the Theme: “Rotaractors & Interactors of RID 3850 Western Mindanao: The Frontrunners of tomorrow through Peace and Service”. More than 200 participants from different areas on Western Mindanao attended the event.
They Invited Mozilla to give lectures regarding communication through I.T. and to discuss some Mozilla tools that they can be used. Mozilla also setup a booth for recruitment of volunteers who is interested to help and contribute to some projects. During the event Mozilla also distribute some swag to participants.
